Asger assists public and consumer-owned utility companies as well as public authorities in utility law, environmental law and planning law issues. Asger also assists with general administrative law and municipal law issues as well as in matters relating to EU state aid rules. He also conducts legal proceedings and administrative appeals within his areas of work.

In the area of ​​heat supply, he provides legal assistance with the preparation and approval of project proposals according to the Heat Supply Act and in appeals at the Energy Complaints Board. He often works closely with and has a wide network within the technical consultancy sector. He also assists in cases concerning the Heat Supply Act’s price regulation and company law matters in relation to this.

He advises in the area of ​​environmental law, particularly on issues relating to physical planning and expropriation for public purposes, etc. as well as on questions regarding environmental assessments, where he has extensive experience from his previous employment as deputy chairman of the Environmental and Food Complaints Board. His public law profile also includes in-depth knowledge of the EU legal state aid rules and the municipalities’ legal relationship with a focus on the utility sector, including in relation to municipal loan guarantees.

In the field of personal data law, he has, among other things, assisted a number of utility companies, municipalities and regions with the preparation of legal assessments on the use of meter data for energy planning purposes, etc.
